Community investment & development

We are dedicated to improving the long-term sustainability and prosperity of the communities we work with. By fostering positive, open, and collaborative relationships with our local partners, we aim to create mutual value and have a meaningful impact on their daily lives. Not only do we contribute to local economies but also invest in community infrastructure to ensure their long-term sustainability. Our commitment is evident in our efforts to create independent and thriving projects from the outset.

Enterprise and Supplier Development

We seek to create economic value for employees, stakeholders and society at large through job creation and investing in the productive capacity of the economy. This includes dedicated support for training, as well as enterprise and supplier development. The success of entrepreneurs and small businesses play a pivotal role in boosting local economies, fostering job opportunities, and driving innovation. It’s essentail that we actively support them throughout our supply chain to ensure continued success.

Livelihoods

We take a thoughtful approach to land acquisition, prioritizing early, transparent, and culturally sensitive engagement with communities. When our projects require relocation or impact livelihoods, we work closely with affected households to restore, and where possible, improve, their quality of life. Our livelihood restoration programs offer support ranging from agricultural assistance to skills training and new income opportunities. Throughout, we follow the IFC Performance Standard 5 (Land Acquisition and Involuntary Resettlement), with a commitment to going beyond simple restoration, striving for real, long-term benefits for everyone impacted by our work.
