Ivanhoe Mines files NI 43-101 prefeasibility study technical report on the Platreef PGE-nickel-copper project on the Northern Limb of South Africa’s Bushveld Complex

VANCOUVER, CANADA – Ivanhoe Mines today announced that further to its news release dated January 8, 2015, it has filed an independent National Instrument 43-101 technical report on the prefeasibility study of the planned first phase of development of the company’s Platreef platinum, palladium, rhodium, gold, nickel and copper mine.

The NI 43-101 technical report was prepared for Ivanhoe Mines by OreWin Pty. Ltd.; Amec Foster Wheeler E&C Services Inc.; SRK Consulting Inc.; Stantec Consulting International LLC; and DRA Projects (Pty.) Ltd. The report – titled Platreef 2014 Prefeasibility Study – has been filed on the SEDAR website at www.sedar.com and on the Ivanhoe Mines website at www.ivanhoemines.com.
